Though I like what Tim does (it is worth to check the guy out if you don't know him),
I don't hear the Exile comparison. But that could be me.

This song is composed by Tim Knol together with Big Black & Beautiful, within 36 hours for a TV show in Holland. It was broadcasted yesterday.

To me the first thing I heard which reminded me of Exile were those backing vocals.... so beautiful.

But I think it also has that Stones guitar rhythm. And it just got that soul...

I've always thought the Captain Beefheart albums "Clear Spot" & "Spotlight Kid" had a murky bluesy Exile vibe. With plenty of weirdness thrown in for good measure

Well then, I wasn't that far off!

I'm a fan of Tim and his band, and saw the broadcast. I think the chorus ("Stay With Me..." ) is a little bit dull, and not at all Exile. Also that strange hi-hat pattern (the verses), don't get it. But the combination with these black girls was very nice!
