I'll be staying in Amsterdam Aug 23 thru 26 and wonder which concerts that are worth seeing take place at that time. Any hints - maybe even from local insiders - will be most welcome.

Paradiso; greatest venue on planet Earth.
De Melkweg; modern venue (just around the corner of Paradiso/ Leidseplein) - great program.
(Melkweg & Paradiso offer mostly 'A'-listers, both national & international, and always involve tickets/ cover charge, to my knowledge.)
