The isolation is interesting, but his playing almost seems ordinary, compared to his earlier, flailing self. It's sad just how badly his playing had deteriorated by Who Are You and Kilburn and Shepperton shows from around the same time.
And what is he doing relying so much on the high-hat? He hardly ever used a high-hat previously.
Looks like the "Don Kirschner Rock Awards" from either '76 or '77. It was a prime-time TV special that I think was done only once or twice.

Man, no kidding.... I am not usually into the over analysis of music, but in this case it is very worth while, an outstanding idea to listen just to the drums. That is no basic timing drum beat... it is the sound and the fury... thanks for the suggestion... if others have not had a listen, give it a whirl.

We had a bit of an earthquake today on the east coast of the United States, 5.9 on the Richter scale. At first I thought the ruckus I heard on the floor above my office was someone trashing their office in Keith Moon's honor. Then I started hearing from various places that it was in fact an earthquake.
