Great!
Thanks. Looking forward to that one smiling smiley
A bit underwhelmed by the trailer itself, but once the quotes and music gets going midway its a smooth ride, baby.

Is this film going to be in theaters or just on HBO? It certainly appears to deserve the big screen.

Anyone know when the DARK HORSE reissue will be released? And will it include "I Don't Care Anymore" as a bonus?

Don't worry it will be out on DVD. YAY! Not sure about The Dark Horse re-release...not one of his better solo albums in my opinion. But I am waiting for the often talked about box set of unreleased stuff. He was working on before his death and Olivia has mentioned in a few interviews as well. Bring it on!

Looks like this should be very good. I wish Scorcese had treated the Stones the same way. Shine A Light was ok, but I really expected more, with an emphasis on the band's past from his perspective. I always thought George was a cool guy, and my wife is a massive fan. We have a litho signed copy of a sketched piece Ronnie drew of George. It really looks great in a nice frame. That came from a Ronnie Boston exhibit when the Stones opened up their tour there.

To put one thing straight about SAL: It was supposed to be what it became. Don't cry over something you wished for but didn't get.

Why not? We could have had the excellent treatment Scorcese gave Dylan in No Direction Home. Instead we got yet another latter-day concert film. There's plenty to cry about.

might be too long; "double feature length film" may be why no theater presence. But I would guess there still should be a limited big-city run before the holidays.

from Amazon UK site:

DVD Description
Directed by Martin Scorsese, George Harrison – Living in the Material World is a stunning double-feature-length film tribute to one of music’s greatest icons. Containing a wealth of previously unreleased material, this Deluxe Edition contains 2 DVDs, a Blu-ray, a CD of never-before-heard tracks (available exclusively in this edition) and a 96-page book to accompany the film--all beautifully packaged within a collectable picture-frame box.
