reminds me of how much I used to dig JW's version of Jumpin Jack Flash, on his 'And Live' album...
gotta get that on CD...

That was stunning! I used to be a big fan of Johnny's and thought I'd heard just about everything from his rock n roll days but I've never heard that one. Was it officially released? If so, when and on what record (initial release)?

Yes, It was released on Still Alive and Well.....Also Silver Train is on this recording. If not mistakened, The Stones gave Silver Train to Johnny and he recorded it before Goats Head Soup.


BTW...His greatest album.

Certainly a good one. I like the Johnny Winter And Live mentioned above, as well as the first Columbia album.

Wow, and I had that record and cannot for the life of me remember that cut. Oh well, that's what 35 years of hard livin will do to your memory banks.
