Hello,
looking for the title of an Irish song, with Jagger on vocals.
Think that Mick did it sometime back in the eighties
Btw, it is neither Wild COlonial boy nor long black weil

thanks

Can you recall any details about the song itself, such as a lyric or part of the chorus, perhaps?

The one from Wandering Spirit perhaps. That's the nineties though.

This one is definitely Irish, although a little more recent...

Could be thinking of "The Long Black Veil" with The Chieftains. Not an Irish song, but an Irish arrangement.

Nope William ....johny said it's not Black Veil

Not reading close enough. I'll change my answer to "Handsome Molly" then. It's the only other likely suspect.

Actually, scratch that. If he's really thinking of the eighties, he might mean "Party Doll" which has an Irish flavor to it thanks to a couple of The Chieftains.

no,
it's not handsome molly ;-)

think that jagger was a guest singer with some irish band and it's him on the vocals. heard this song probably on some eighties bootlegs from his solo tour, but can not recall the name

anyway, was recently at the irish wedding, and heard this song performed by local irish band, and irish people at the wedding definetly knew about jagger version

Not "The Rocky Road to Dublin?" Though I don't think Mick does more than join in with the chorus on that - the lead vocal is one of the Chieftains.

Yes, I was wondering the same thing.

I've checked all my boots (most of the shows) and there's no Irish songs on the '88 tours, not even in the rehearsals....checked 5 discs worth of those too.................
