Ronnie Spector's new album English Heart has Keith Richards and Stones Song

When Ronnie Spector toured England with the Ronettes their opening bands were Stones, Kinks, Yardbirds. Keith dated Ronnie and Mick dated her sister Estelle. Keith lives near Ronnie and still works on her music. Her new album English Heart is a tribute to the British invasion bands. It sounds great. She looks fantastic in the video for "Who Can Sleep?" which you can see at amazon.com

"I'd much rather be with the girls"

Apparently it will be a keith Richards/Andrew Loog Oldham credit.

Technically it could be listed as a Donna Lynn cover, I guess.

Oh, it came out last year, apparently: [www.songfacts.com]

Why would it be listed as a Donna Lynn cover, btw?

Donna Lynn had the single with the title "I'd much rather be with the girls" in march 1965.
The composer credit for that single was Richard/Oldham.

The "Stones" version of the song only saw the light of day in 1975 on the Metamorphosis
album.

The Toggery Five had "I'd much rather be with the boys" as a single
in februari 1965, but the gender change Donna Lynn added to the title makes it a different
song, in my humble opinion.

The Toggery Five has recorded and released that song with the original title, while Donna Lynn has released it with "Girls" instead of "Boys", so maybe that's why it's listed as being her cover.

Keith and Andrew wrote it, and the Stones obviously recorded it early on – so technically...

"The Stones" in question being Keith and Mick, accompanied by Joe Moretti (gtr),
John McLaughlin (gtr) and Andy White (dr), according to NZentgraf
