Thanks for the heads up. I love the LPs but have never seen the videos.

Greetings from the Jersey Shore.

For those who have never seen The Beatles (or a Beatle) but like to repeat that they were a lousy live act, you may want to watch this and decide how one of them holds up on stage with a bunch of very notable musicians. George's personal quest is obvious and his heart is in the right place as well

Mind noting;
I bought the bootleg DVD of this event, 2-3 years before it was released officially (on DVD); and the soundquality of the bootleg is much better than the official output. The guitars are full of fire on the bootleg, while they are mixed to sound sterile on the official output.
But in either case; both official and unofficial versions are must-haves

Here's the link of the web-stream (thanks to Anne): [www.georgeharrison.com]
(oops, Bingo allready posted the link. Shame on Max for being such a slow one)

Very interesting that, wonder why the official version is mixed that way.
I have the original vinyl stored somewhere and I got to official DVD a few years back, must dig out the vinyl and have another listen.

Great film. George had his heart in the right place and helped put together a benefit that helped people who were really in need of some compassion. The extras on the dvd set are also very good. Much more to the story than you have known from the official release. I have always been a big fan of George, and have felt he was not only a very talented musician, but a cool and humble guy to boot.

Funny I actually played All Things Must Pass tonight. My wife and I are in Austria and were sitting out on the terrace looking at the mountains with tunes blaring. Great music sounds extra special up here. Exile on loud as I write....

Zum Wohl!!

Sounds like doing a 'lading and gentlemen' to me...

It probably isnt, this is just erika's regular nerdly bootleg collecting BS, bragging, wanting to claim publicly how cool she thinks she is, gripping the pencil tightly in her teeth while blathering, "I bought the bootleg DVD of this event, 2-3 years before it was released officially" .... yawn.

Your mean spirit seems unnecessary. I have a boot and Erik is right, the guitars are louder, for sure. The mix reflects Phil Spector's and Georges creative state of mind during that period with the Wall of Sound. So no instrument would be mixed louder than another to create the Wall of Sound. Having said that, the new remastered DVD is stunning and the mix is much better and more layered. What especially comes through is the acoustics. Beautiful.

I too bought the bootleg (or "semi-official" release - I think it was from Argentina or Brazil), & agree that the audio is superior.

My only disappointment w/the official DVD release was that it dd not include "Hear Me Lord" as a bonus. AFAIK the matinee performance was the only time George ever performed that song in concert.

Yes! I agree! Hear ME Lord is one of my favorites, I love his singing on it and all the cool guitar fills after he says "won't you hear me lord.." I don't understand why they didn't put that on as a bonus. But that aside, the bonus of Come Into My Kitchen is spectacular! George has a lot of groove on that one.

Really agree to that one, whitem8

Now; I respect your opinion, and I treat everyone who acts nice; gently.
So you are blessed with me being so kind today. I do not care about trolls, and I will hit down hard on every troll that crosses my path. I'm like Jesus and a silly a**hole, both at the same time.
So let's be cool......if not; I'll refer to you as a woman; to show you my despise. Get it? LOL

Hard to forget a looser of such a stature, since you ask.
and she just keeps rattling, looking for trouble,
while whining about others being trolls, so funny.

No thanks. It's a 1 hand fight only - I'm just glad to release some of his anger on a board like this, which causes nobody any harm. Goodbye. This is below my dignity, and I shouldn't have responded at all.

I must admit I've nearly always skipped Leon Russell's performance (even back in the VHS days). Love the rest of it though.
