I'd love to see them attempt Let's Dance. Thoughts?

I love Bowie, but God no.

Just because someone dies, doesn't justify adding covers to the set list. No Beatles covers in 81, or Hendrix covers in 71.

Hell, no! It would suck. They have enough trouble playing their own material these days!

Life on Mars with Keith on vocals.

It seems like Keith didn't care all that much for Bowie or his music but I think a collaboration between them would've produced better results than, say, 'Dancing in the Street.' Bowie and Keith doing a duet on 'Happy' would've been wild.

At first glance how about Gene Genie.

It's never gonna happen but it could only be "dancing in the street" mick and daves duet!

I reckon if any thing, at the next show mick mentions his passing and they do "let's spend the night together " , as David did it in on Aladdin sane . I think

They could do It's only rock 'n roll, since Bowie at least was present at the first
recordings of the song and can probably be heard somewhere in the backing vocals...

The Jean Genie is probably the most "Stonesy" song David ever did.

I still don't know if it's a good idea or not to cover one of Bowie's songs. History
shows they do a better job covering songs from the 50s or 60s than songs from later
decades.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

far better to pay tribute to someone in person while they are alive, than when they are dead.

i really think this is what keith had in mind about chuck berry when he did the hail hail rock-n-roll movie.

i think about this sometimes as we complain about various members of the stones. we're lucky to have them around, when they are gone we will be at a loss to show our appreciation.

"I'm Afraid Of Americans"?

If they do that on the South American tour, would Bowie want them to clarify it by singing "I'm afraid of North Americans"? Or did Bowie mean both continents? Sigh. So many questions.

Drive In Saturday - with the self-congratulatory line of "when people stared in Jagger's eyes and scored". Hmmm, I think not!

Around And Around is another song they both covered.

But Jean Genie is the Stonesiest song Bowie ever did as it's basically a Muddy Waters riff but just speeded up.

Diamond Dogs is the most Stonesy Bowie song in my opinion so i'd go for that if anything but no it shouldn't and won't happen.

I've thought about this too. I can see them maybe dedicating a song to him, or mentioning it, but I don't see them covering a Bowie song. We shall see...
