My mum and the Stones

When I first started buying Stones records, my first was Let it Bleed when it came out, my Mum said 'what a load of noise' and 'they won't be around that long'

about 20 years later and I was still buying albums and going to see them she said that she was wrong and they do have something about them. For her to say that was quite something, especially as she was into Max Bygraves and Glen Miller.

My mom always thought Mick Jagger was goofy looking.
She was a big fan of Tony Bennett and Andy Williams.

Never did get my mum to a concert but it was a good start, having said that my wife was an Engelbert Humperdinck and David Essex fan but did manage to get her to a few Stones concerts and also Pink Floyd.
