First three albums are essential and the 4th ain't bad but more of a rock out. One of the most inventive bands of all time. Forever Changes justifiably could claim to be the greatest album of all time. Yes, it's that good.
Yeah, the first three albums are all great, Forever Changes being the crowning glory. Great singles too including Laughing Stock, not on the original albums. Some very good tracks on Four Sail & even Out Here. A minor return to form in '93 with Five String Serenade.
Few albums hit me like Forever Changes. It's a singular and inspired work. Listening to it is like peeking through a window and not being able to see the whole room. Something is going on here even if I cannot exactly put my finger on what it is.
