Strange question...

Watch it one more time, Mandu honey! In the film you see that they recorded those numbers
in Muscle Shoals just before the Altamont show. They had just finished writing them
(the words were written at the Muscle Shoals studio). And of course Sticky Fingers was their next studio album.
There was a lot of legal/financial fighting over it, because they had written and/or recorded tracks on it
while they were still under contract to Allen Klein, and in the end the rights to each track were awarded to ABKCO
while the rights to the LP as a whole (the title, running order, etc) were awarded to the Rolling Stones.
Isn't that strange

Also Stanley Booth discusses it in his book 'The True Adventures of the Rolling Stones' (a good read, by the way).

I think in most cases, songs are written before the album comes out, unless they aren't on that album.
