Signed by Brian Epstein. The Beatles played on and helped produce the studio version. It was The Silkie's only charting single in the states.

This would have made a good song for the Stones to have covered.

Bill did a version of Gary's "Quarter To Three on his Stone Alone album.

Warren may have been a Wonder but he had more than one hit.

Do you really like this song?

This was when I would change the station.

An innocuous Chicago/BS&T imitation?

"The idea for the song came from the stereotype of the dirty old man, cruising the streets in his black sedan and enticing little girls by offering them candy. Also, my mother showed me this anti-drug pamphlet that depicted the drug pusher as a 'friendly stranger' so I put those things together and came up with 'Vehicle'".
-Jim Peterik

#2 single, May 23, 1970.

Graham Nash, as a solo artist, is a one-hit wonder.

Crosby and Nash, as a duo, are also a one-hit wonder.

The Stills-Young Band might appear to be a one-hit wonder, but Long May You Run was not a Top 40 hit. This band, coming to a venue near you in Sept, Oct, and Nov, is a one-hit wonder.

I don't care what the sales figures say. To me their is more to a "hit" than sales figures. Calling Warren Zevon a one hit wonder, alonig with some of your other postings is just ridiculous. Acts that have talent and have had long prestigous careers, don't deserve to be called one hit wonders.

Duly noted. And now it's time for another one-hit wonder. The only Top 40 hit from Derek and the Dominos.

Another musical giant whose style of music is not conducive to having hit singles. But he had one, once. Hence his inclusion in this thread. I just find that sort of thing interesting as hell. Don't you?
