Thanks for the post Green Lady. Not that I think U2 should even me mentioned in the same sentence as the Stones.

Some good and rather obvious points being made and I guess we can't blame U2 for continuing to try to produce and promote their music. I waited for years for the Stones to do the same thing.

The major difference for me is that the Stones music they are still playing is so much better than the 3 or 4 great tunes by U2 that they can get away with it. I think if they didn't come out with Sunday Bloody Sunday when MTV was so ubiquitous they would still be playing pubs in Ireland.
