No, I tried to steer conversation away from the Stones after she dropped that little fact...didn't want to let on I was a crazed fan and wanted to keep her talking.

Marlon would be an obvious choice but he seems so aloof....

I'd be interested to know the extent of friendships among the Stones kids. Probably they don't see each other much at all.

I reckon Bill's son Stephen is the eldest ( of Stones' kids)...

It must be horrible being a famous person's son or daughter and fearing that every regular person you meet is just trying to get access to or information about your famous parent. While I know the thread is meant kindly, when you think about all of us as rabid Stones fans, the same applies to most of us. I understand completely why the gentleman who hung out with Keith's daughter chose not to speak about the band. Best thing to do under the circumstances.

Hey Rocky,you´re right. This is just a game, we are having a chat and dreaming a bit.
Probably, if i ever get to meet any Stone family member, i wouldn´t talk about the Stones like a crazed fan, and i think that i wouldn´t do it either i ever happen to clash into any Stone in person.
That, in my view , would be totally anti cool.

But on the other hand, as hardcore fans , we can easily dream of listening to some inside stories from any of the Rolling Stones sibling in person.
Can you imagine the stories Marlon could tell? Man, he´s seen it all.

So you're drunk, walk into a bar, sit down uninvited at a table with some strangers, started 'chatting them up' whether they liked it or not, and it turned out one of them is Keith's daughter? Not sure if I believe it, but I'm sure you had a great time

The couple were her friends from CT, she came up afterwards. In NY at least, people are usually quite friendly in bars, especially that late at night.

Marlon and Jade would probably have the best Stones stories, but would be the least likely to tell.
I get the sense with these two that for them, the Stones were not as romantic as it is to outsiders, especially for Marlon.
The younger generation - Theodora, Lizzie, James etc - seem to be more in awe of their dad's history ...'Dad was a ROlling Stone!' like discovering your grandfather was a vuadvillian or something.
By the time they were 'on tour' with the Stones, Stones tours had become Disney on Ice....so it was different.
The younger kids seem more impressed with it all.
Whereas, Marlon's and Jade's childhood was probably more affected by the Stones in their heyday....the druggy, groupie, crazy years....it wasn't a child-friendly time in the 70s and both also watched their parents split at a young age and grew up relatively on their own in NYC when it was truly gritty and dangerous.
Jade once said something to the effect that other people seem more fascinated by the fact that her father was a ROlling Stone, but when you actually lived through it, its not so romantic.

Its not an accident that both Marlon and Jade started families at a very young age, and they aren't seen at their modern-day concerts and Marlon, in particular, has always distanced himself from anything Stones-related.
Seems like a natural reaction.
They've been there, done that. But for the younger kids, it must seem very exciting and exotic because, I suspect, given the time they were born and coming of age, Theo, Alexandra, LIzzie, Georgia and James - they're relatively removed from the Stones we grew up reading about.

To me, Marlon and Jade are the original Stones kids by virtue of their age and the fact that they're the ones I came of age with. There was a time when it was just them.
