Hi Sway!

I'm sure it was an exciting show and all but you asked so....

Besides those white lights being a distraction a quite annoying, it looks to me like she's playing to a pre-recorded soundtrack. The fretting and bow work don't seem to match up always to what I'm hearing. But I'm not a violin player and there is so much other stuff going on so I may be wrong.

But she's obviously a player and quite a cutie, and this is the first I've heard of her so I'll keep an open mind.

Hope you are well.

peace

Yeah nice violin playing. Also keefriff99 and Tate if your listening, this is a pretty good example of a decent snare drum sound getting somewhat ruined by too much concurrent cymbal work. You can hear how nice the snare sounds by itself in the breakdown around 2:45 or so. It would have helped the violin solo if that backbeat wasn't as washed out, imo.

Lisa Germano has some nice records on the 4AD label she recorded after leaving Mellencamp. Also has done some good work with Neil Finn.

What I meant was that it appeared she might be pretending to play while what you were actually hearing was a recording of her playing. No doubt she can play but when such theatrics are involved with a show, there is an incentive for some artists to hedge their musical bets by using perfect sounding pre-recorded material.

And as I said, I may be totally wrong here but it just looked like there were some disconnects between what I was seeing and what I was hearing.

Anyway I hope you had a great time and were entertained well.

Best to you Sway!

peace
