"that's cool you dont like the band, but they never did a cover of Prodigal Son"
Yep you're right! "Fortunate Son" was the song. Great version (I love Fogerty btw) but that was about the only good thing on that LONG 2-dvd set.

Right on C! . . . I hear you. You should, however, give Yield another chance, it probably my favorite if I had to choose; many in the PJ scene and many in the rock press consider Yield to be their one of their best. I think it definaly is outside first 2; its like their best "mature" album . . . keep on rockin in the free world bro and I hope they come to your town or near soon . . . I'm going to see them in Wisconsin and in Canada this September.
Ok, I'll try it!
By the way, I once saw a very funny article on the internet with a short review of every single concert that comprised the first bootleg series. Something like set list, vedder quote, and how a song was done (Jeremy?) CAn you remember where it was?

I love Pearl Jam but this version of PF song is too sloppy imo.Quote

Darling SwayStone, you're not going to get me to go to TAHITI with you for a romantic weekend (and you know it will be fun - I GO WILD) when you treat me so very rough SO hard...... Be nice, Be soft.... Oui.... (oh no, don't worry, I know how to use "the button" LOL)

<<Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay
Were laid spread out before me as her body once did.
All five horizons revolved around her soul
As the earth to the sun
Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn
Ooh, and all I taught her was everything
Ooh, I know she gave me all that she wore
And now my bitter hands chafe beneath the clouds
Of what was everything.
Oh, the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything...<<

I'm standing there somewhere right in the front...funny though, we where supposed to see this unknown band from Seattle in an in-store show in of all places Arnhem, just 30 odd people and PJ in a record store. But, within 2 weeks or so, Alive broke big on MTV, and they only did Paradiso and Pinkpop that year in Holland. I don't remember much of the Pinkpop show, other than that I hated the festival.
