who sent me his scans and allow me to show all that nice
and rare stuff on my Blog !

I've started with the ROLLING STONES Promo, it's not finished,
I think i will end my chapter at the end of the week.

Guys, thanks for doing all this hard work.... great to have high quality scans of so many nice promo CD's available. Please just let me know what you are missing and I am more than happy to contribute. Things like the high end Japanese stuff, US Terrifying, alternate US Out of Tears, alternate Flip the Switch, Bridges 5 track etc... Just give me a list and I will scan as soon as I get a moment.

I think so, but it wasn't my purpose, because, there's so much Blog in English
and not so much in French, that's the first reason !
The second reason is that my english is not wonderful!

But i think, that later i will translate at least the Chapters to let you know where you could go, and believe me, you don't need so much explainations, because my Blog is first of all,
a Blog for Vinyl (addict) Collectors.
As I explained it in french, some records and other stuff are so rare or expensive, that at least, you could see all of this stuff!

Honestman, You're fantastic Promo CD feature was on the front and now I can't find it at all :-( At least from looking up and down the navigation on the right. Can you point me in the right direction?

There were definately a few promos missing up until 98 but of course you may just not have put them up yet. Given the detailed nature of Jos' research and posts I assume Jos knows what he is missing if anything.

If you need anything I should have it so just let me know.

Jos, you should work as an archivist. I never have the patience to catelogue everything.

The impressive list above is a list of your collection right? Shall we have a go compiling a complete promo list? I am a little more sketchy on the very recent stuff but in the silver pressed department I am not aware of any pre Universal holes.

Probably (definately) totally impossible to do if you include CD-R's as do you include one off CD's burnt on a record executives computer having been sent unmastered from a studio like the below....



Or a Studio produced CD-R like the below....



Maybe stage one should be just to build a complete Promo CD list of silver pressed CD's. Anyone up for trying to do it? Just having a quick scan of my memory I can probably add 20 or more silver pressed CD's to the list. Should we include things like the Flip The Switch with the white spine as opposed to the more common red spine or is that just too nerdy?

I don't think i could do a complet list ,for my Blog, I try to list (only) all of the official releases of Rolling STONES Promo CD, including the 3", the japanese stuff and after that all the SOLO Promo STUFF.

I will not include the soundtracks or some radio Promo shows, because for me
it's only for the completists and it's less worth that the rest!

Jos send me today some left-over promos from 2007 to 2009, and i will try to finish for today, but it take me some time ... (3 days and 3 nights)LOL
and i'm not Keith, i must sleep a little bit!!!

I also miss the Japanese Promo "The pleasure of Pain"

Agreed Honestman, if I were you I would draw the line at silver pressed CD's. Just looking at the blog you have the Flashpoint Radio show for example, that gets us into another whole world there! If I were you I would split out Radio Shows from Promo CD's as they are another whole can of worms! It's your gig though, I'll just help out with any bits you want.

Pleasure of Pain is no problem (I have at least 3 of those). Much harder than the Pleasure of Pain from Japan are: Steel Wheels Japan Tour, Voodoo Lounge Tour Souvenir, Mixed Emotions 3", Greatest Three and the Bigger Bang Tour 12" 8 CD Promo Box. All of which I can scan for you too.

Looking at the blog from the top you are also missing things like ROLPRO 1, the 2nd Stones on CD varient, Angie / Brown Suger and Start Me Up from the Spainish promos like the Respectable one. The Aussie Sympathy, Belgium Satisfaction / Lady Jane... etc.... I will use Jos' list and try and fill in the gaps. Sadly because I don't catelogue stuff i am relying on my memory which means I am bound to miss something but if I work on the list, Sam and others will spot any remaining holes and given time I will happily dig out and scan stuff assuming I don't get beaten to it but the other completists.
