OT: one of the dumbest things what happened to me in music

I was looking today to some live music.
Valencia (Spain) schedules Bristish group Mc Fly. They sounds interesting, worth to go
Bill specifies "U 18 - Mc Fly".
Looked for U 18, maybe an opening band, I thought
Silly me. U 18 means special show for people UNDER EIGHTEEN.
I'm over fifty - what is that bs supposed to mean.
The group seems OK and I want to join the party
Do you think they will lynch me?

They're not a blues band, they're a pop / rock boyband.

I think you'll find that the audience is predominantly female.

There'll be lots of dads there, as chaperones, so you should blend right in. Just stand next to one of the girls and try to look related to her.

Bottom line is the "dads" are not supposedly allowed to go in.

Too much hassle, I guess
But I don't mind hearing the music

I have a first experience of sort
When wife was pregnant, I invited her to the chippendales strip show on the boulevards of Paris
There were about 2.000 women in the venue and FOUR guys, including the black barman in the back
Us boys were not allowed to sit with the girls, only to watch from the bar.
When I stepped in the men room, it was 100% full of girls and I heard some "wooo" - but I was not booed, stripped off or torn apart
One girl told me: "must feel alone, sir"

That could have a very disturbing outcome if hes not careful!!

There are no age limits for rock and roll, but I'm not sure that McFly would qualify under the definition of rock and roll, lol!

It's a sort of reversal trip. When you're under 18 you may lie about your age - when you're over 18 you may still have to lie about it...eye rolling smiley
