My understanding is that it is an original gibson paf. I could be wrong. The stones gear book might provide more conclusive answers if someother wise iorrian cant provide a conclusive answer.

59 Duncan will do. It's not really that critical but you need to choose something without allot of output so the bridge pickup works well with it. I believe Sonny has no pickup cover, which is critically different. Here's what I think will work available on ebay cheaply. Gibson 490 R, Burstbucker 1, 80's PAF Reissue. Duncan 59, Seth or Antiquity PAF which is my favorite PAF replica... Dimarzio Anniversary PAF will also be ok. Investing in an original PAF will cost over a grand, 60's T Tops would be ok but not as good as the Duncans.

Depends on how close you want to get.
I put an original 1957 PAF in mine.

I'd buy any original PAF if it "only" costs me around 1k.
More realistic is a marketprice of around 3k for an original PAF!

It's a PAF, without the cover on it. I want to say it came from a 60's Les Paul, but don't quote me on that.

I put a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover Humbucker SH-55 in the neck position of my Tele about 12 years ago and couldn't be happier, still loving it.
