This is kinda interesting. Pete and Simon Townshend appearing together on MTV in 1983. The music video for Simon's "I'm The Answer" is then played .... erroneously credited to Peter Townshend.

Been listening to a lot of his stuff lately. Really looking forward to seeing him on the 16th.

So no one's going to see Simon or has anything to say about him? I think his records are really good. A new one came out just a few days ago. Some of his songs are as good as anything on any of his brother's solo albums. He's also been far more prolific than Pete, who in the past 25 years has released only two albums of all new material. It's almost as if Simon's records are filling the void left by Pete's inactivity. Any thoughts?

tatters, as a huge Who fan I must admit I don't know too much about Simon. I do like that song you posted, pretty darn heavy and some cool lyrics about being the unknown second son!
So he is playing at the Arc in AA right? I thought about going...

This is a good place to start. It's a compilation CD released in 2002.

I've been listening to it in my car the last few weeks and really enjoying it. I saw a name I recognized in the liner notes. Turns out I went to school 35 years ago with his tour manager! You should definitely come to the Ann Arbor show. It's only $20 and he does the whole meet and greet thing afterwards, autographs, photos, etc. It's historic, too. The Ark is just three blocks from the site of the old Fifth Dimension club, where on June 14, 1967 the Who played their first concert in the United States.

Yeah I am most probably going to go now! Trying to be my brother to go... I will post if I am going and we should meet up.

Saw Simon play with The Who in Louisville last year. Was really impressed with what he added to the show. Was out front in the mix, I could hear clearly what he was doing, but he also didn't intrude into what Roger and Pete were doing. Count me as a fan.

Two nights ago in Philadelphia.

Only about 75 people turned out for the show in Ann Arbor last night, but one of them was our very own whitem8, who I've been interacting with on IORR for almost 10 years and finally got to meet in person for the first time.

Thanks so much tatters for recommending this show, it was fantastic! I was very impressed. Not knowing any of his material, other than him playing with The Who, he has the chops. Great guitar playing and some wonderful music.
Nice meeting you as well! Cool shot of you and Simon. Next show at the Arc will be Peter Wolf! Can't wait!

"Great show last night in the amazing town of Ann Arbor, MI. What a wonderful venue The Ark is, run by volunteers, it has a fantastic vibe and a fab sound system. Really enjoyed the evening, meeting the fans after and getting more Denial CDs and vinyl out there. I’m on the road now to Chicago for a sold out show tonight at the City Winery – a double header with Willy Porter (check him out online, he’s a great guitarist).
