OT: Can't drag photos out of Windows Live Photo Gallery

Suddenly, and I mean suddenly, for no apparent reason, I can't drag photos out of photo gallery. Anyone else experience the same annoying instance? How is it corrected?

would a simple "screen-grab" be sufficient?
