It was a pay-per-view broadcast...Sheryl Crow, Bo Diddley and Robert Cray were guests.

WOn't happen again... and I don't like that show! I much prefer AC'89 or St. Louis'97.

I agree with you that the 89 and 97 setlists were better, but don't say you don't like that show, say that the people who were there had a great time and it's all great. Keepin' it real, keepin' it positive. Careful.

If I think about it for a minute - when did that happen?
Those songs in one setlist:

- Rocks OffF
- Live With Me
- Beast Of Burden
- Dead Flowers
- Sweet Virginia
- Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (heartbreaker)
- It's All Over Now

I mean, really...

You are right of course for this specific show, but they did play 4 -5 of those songs every show in 1994/5. But it wasn't untill the last show in Rotterdam (my 6th on the 1995 tour) that I finally got Dead Flowers after holdings signs for it in Schuttorf (Ronnie indicating it to Mick!) and Rotterdam 1 smiling smiley

Imo the rehearsals for the 94 PPV are a far more satisfying listeing exp than the show itself : the Bo Diddley segment where they walk thru "Who Do You Love" several times is incredible.

Setlists...I think they're only really of interest when you read about them or discuss them later with other fans, "ah where did they play Moon is Up again"? But honestly has anyone here been to a show and left disappointed BECAUSE of the setlist? Yeah, everyone likes a surprise, Monkey Man in 1995, that was nice of course.

27, 23, 19 songs...it never lasts long enough anyway, actually at the end of the Stones concerts I went to recently, Trabendo/Bondy1/O2/HP1/HP2 show I find myself "satisfied", almost "exhausted"...thinking, that was great and it's ok if I never see them again, then the next day when you realize any new concert is far away, it's like, wow I miss these guys, their music, the thrill. It's a "no win" situation ;-)

Honestly, I can say I was disappointed with the set list of the second bigger bang show in philadelphia.....my friend and I actually call it the "mad show," because of the set list....it didn't help we had a copy of the set list in hand before the show....but out of 45 shows that's the one

I was disappointed on opening night in Fenway in 2005. The highlight of that show will always be, for me, Back Of My Hand. Usually opening nights bring surprises that don't make it the rest of the way - not that opener.
