Let's give One More Shot one more shot

This new song recently published by the Stones has a great beat, great lyrics, and a fine guitar solo (I think by Ronnie). Sure, the opening chords are reminiscent of another well-known Stones song, but it does has swing and personality.

I would like to see it sung at least now and then at concerts, in lieu of a war horse or Doom and Gloom.

I am just asking that you listen to it one more time and imagine how the audience might respond to it.

Seconded! I would prefer to hear it over Doom and Gloom. Nice song.

I'd rather give 'You Shook Me All Night Long' one more shot.

The chorus is terrible, the lyrics lousy and the 'na na na nah' part at the end is horrible. The song starts off promising enough and that's about it. Terrible song. The sad thing for me is that I WANTED to like it. I have revisited it many times hoping that it would suddenly hit me.

Doom and Gloom is phenomenal! They need to ditch the cartoon animation junk and the guide track live and just let the band drill down. Then again, I think Bernard and Lisa should take a break. Lisa on tour = Gimme Shelter in the setlist.

....Love it all as a sound... the production & push of the whole damn thing ... gotta be played loud ...having said that can't wait to hear Keith's acoustic version that Steve Jordan recently spoke about in an interview ..

It's overdue. Get it back in the setlist.

They skip the (horrible) na, na, nas on the live versions, Drake smiling smiley

In Paris during the Feb.14 rehearsals when OMS was played you could see that "no no no" look in people's eyes...

This is all you need right here to fix that.

Lisa and Bernard still do them! Daggumit I am way too critical! Why play OMS when they still haven't played Let Me Down Slow?!? And why is it that Low Down only got one play back in 98!? So many fantastic songs in the Stones canon.

That is indeed a mystery, especially since they played it brilliantly!

No, no need for One More Shite. Its a crap song and they need not , should not play it at Pinkpop.

Instead, hot stuff, through the lonely nights, jump on top of me, cook cook blues, fancy man blues etc.

I prefer this to 'Doom and Gloom' which I feel is too trendy/political. Jagger has done better with that in previous years.

Or we can give One More Try one more shot...

OK OK, I'll admit I do not hate the song although it's a bit derivative. Take it any day over 'Don't Stop'.

Now, with that said while I quite like D&G, I didn't like it in concert, and on the contrary, I think One More Shot sounded great in concert.

Huh?!

I love the song!
Prefer it to D&G

But that is my personnel taste

Doom & Gloom is better in the studio than it is live. It's the exact opposite with One More Shot.

I thought the opposite. I thought they pulled of D&G better than OMS, live. smileys with beer

Both were cool to hear though. Wouldn't mind hearing them again live.

If the One More Sh*t army were growing, is that considered constipation?
