Does anyone listen to post 03 shows?

I was posting in another thread and mentioned that I never listen to late era boots. I can understand watching a DVD; sort of. But listening, because I love the music for its own sake?

I'd agree with that statement. I honestly don't listen to boots beyond '99. I have a bunch, but can't remember the last one I listened to.

I would like to hear a full show from 50 and Counting in a good quality recording.

Philly 2 from last year is pretty good quality and one the best overall shows performance wise.

I listen to the Pheonix 2005 show because I was there and it brings back great memories. But no. I don't put on a post 2005 recording like it 's Brussels Affair or L.A. Friday or Leeds 1971 or Philadelphia Special.

But I have recently gone back to done YouTube clips of the two Toronto shows I saw last year, and for all my criticisms at the time, I do think back now and realize they were pretty neat.

Having not seen the Stones on their current tour, my interest in their touring activity has definitely lessened. I was more enthusiastic for recordings from the previous two tours because I attended some shows. I have a bunch of bootlegs from both, though admittedly, wouldn't think to listen to them now. The Hyde Park iTunes release I enjoyed, however and I really rather like the Brixton Academy soundboard that's recently surfaced. Then again, that's Pre-Licks tour. I would be interested to hear a pro-recorded performance from any of the No Security shows.

I think there's a good No Security show from Toronto actually. Called When The Wind blows.

Cleveland 2002 is pretty good too.

I agree Big Al. The NS tour was great. there was something a little adventurous (by late era standards) about that tour. It was tacked on to a long world tour, when by all accounts they should have laid low for a while. It came w/o much fanfare and had great set lists. It was kind of the "Stripped" of tours.
I have really good memories from B2B and NS tours because of the spirit that was alive in the Stones community back then.
Trading of boots was alive; with talk about artwork, boot labels, Hendrik Mulder's site, and Mickboy, LOL

Light The Fuse has been on heavy rotation here. A surprisingly good show.

I have listened to Sweet Summer Sun a lot as well + some full show YT clips from the 50 & counting tour.

I do tend to reach for the DVDs and Blurays rather than audio recordings, but that is only because there's so many great ones on film.

As for audio only, Light The Fuse and the Glasgow 2006 FM Broadcast are the main 2 that I play. I do however cherry pick the rarely played tracks from audience tapes.

Saint Paul from 2005 is also a really good audience boot post-2003. Most recommended.

San Jose and Las Vegas, both full concerts, on youtube. Sound quality isn't that bad either.

This video bootleg from Washington 2013 has excellent audio quality:

Unfortunately the bigger bang tour does not have many good recordings sound wise, and no matter how great the show is, if the recording is bad, the boot is unlistenable. Luckily we have the SAL soundtrack, which I find outstanding, Rio, and Tokyo as semi officials, also both great. Milano and Dubendorf are stellar boots. Fuse is in most parts great. All of these I still enjoy a lot.

The most uneven tour of the Vegas era, but it's a tour that I love a lot.
