wasn't the old rs.com site run by the same organization as those administering the u2 site?

Might be mistaken but I think most of that material has been released in some form. But it's nice there offering something free to the fan club members. And how about that free concert CD Macca gave away in the UK newspaper. I think there is about 7 unreleased songs on it. Now that's cool.

Their next album is the soundtrack to "SPIDERMAN NYC (the Disaster on Broadway)" , due in 2015 after about 50 more delays.... U2, another band that's peaked and is now on a major and unstoppable "Downward Spiral"....

Again, this is wrong...

No soundtrack album has been announced yet. The Spiderman musical might be a disaster, but one which is selling a lot of tickets, even if it hasn't had it's opening night yet. Every preview is sold out, i think. The fascination of desaster, of course.
There migh be a soundtrack album, but as far as I know it's the original cast that plays on it, not U2.

Downward spiral? No way. There last album has been full of creativity, their concerts are sold out, they have premiered no less than 8 new unreleased songs on stage last year...they're far from the downward spiral, I think.

Here are the facts, once again:

1. The "Duels" album is a fan-club only give away and a compilation.

2. No soundtrack to the "Spiderman"-desaster has been announced yet; it is most likely that the soundtrack will feature the broadway cast, and not U2.

3. Danger Mouse has been working with U2 on a new album.

I never cared for Bono's singing much. One is the only song I liked.

Incidentally, Bono, methinks, was thinking of—and doing his own twist on—a certain Stones song when writing the following lyrics in U2's BEAUTIFUL DAY:

well, the album will have ONE song with ONE great rock singer. and the great rock singer isn´t bono zzzz.

A "free" give-away to fanclub memebers? ... That likely "pay" a monthly or yearly fee of some sort, likely way overpaying for a minimal return, no doubt?
