Looks like the NIN tour is going to be different than what played the festivals this summer.

As a backup musician, she's not making millions. I say more power to her. Think that if there was anything concrete with the Stones, it would have been a factor in deciding whether to take the the NIN gig. Also, this NIN tour looks like its going to be very interesting & somewhat different than what Trent has done in the past. Not just rehashing ground that has been thoroughly marched over. It's a high profile gig for sure. I've got a ticket for the Seattle show & am quite excited about it. The new cd "Hesitation Marks" is brilliant. While not everybody's cup of tea, I think Trent Reznor is something of a musical genius. Pino Pallodino on bass is a good thing too.

Also, remember that the Stones aren't exactly reknowned for their largesse. Ronnie wasn't a member until Steel Wheels when Bill & Charlie said they wouldn't do the tour if Ronnie wasn't a full member. There is a lot of music in NIN that is very quiet & beautiful in addition to the noisy stuff. I'm looking forward to it.

There's plenty of places she'd fit in on NIN songs. NIN isn't just some industrial scream band. Though there is some screaming, but Trent will do the screaming when need be. He'll also do some beautiful singing, as will Lisa I'm sure. If Trent's good enough for Bowie, he's good enough for Lisa.

this is a short tour that wraps up the at the end of november, it has no impact on the stones 2014 tour plans whatsoever.

Another point: I thought that the use of guests on "Gimme Shelter" a year ago was a little insulting to Lisa. She (& Merry Clayton) own that song as far as I'm concerned. Florence was ok, Gaga interesting from a performance aspect & Mary J Blige mediocre (way overrated). How long has Lisa been with the Stones? Has to be at least 20 years. She's paid her dues. Just read a review of the 1st NIN show & it was real positive. Lisa was mentioned prominently. This NIN tour is different from previous ones. Trent has changed. Credits Bowie with saving him from himself. In a way better place now.
