Gaga is always interesting in the very least.

Interesting how doubling up on the guest and music act is now very common for SNL, I wonder if it saves them money?

maybe, but I don't think they pay their hosts/guests a lot of money. It's an extremely prestigious and high profile gig to be on SNL.

hmmmm.... Does "prestigious" need to be preceeded by the word "extremely" ? Isnt being prestigious enough on its own or does something have to be extremely prestigious in order to attract the kind of people who they want?
but anyway.....

I've just checked...you can use the word extremely before prestigious.
carry on.
The skits were so-so. The music, while not exactly my cup of tea, was pretty good. Clearly the Lady is very talented. I tend to admire the artists in that genre who actually write their own stuff. She can play too.Quote

So how'd she do?
Sounds reasonable. I feel the show has actually be very good this season surprisingly. Really strong episodes with Kerry Washington, Edward Norton and Miley Cyrus recently.Quote

They needed some new blood. I'm forgetting her name but the woman who left when Jagger hosted, just irritated me. She had some funny stuff but a lot of recurring skits that were funny about 30 seconds the first time & then just boring. The new kids haven't had the chance to develop the fall back ones yet & its a good thing. This week's opening with Bobby Moynihan as the mayor of Toronto was very funny.Quote

the episodes this year have been better then the last few years
Kristin Wiig. She was a godsend when she first got to the show. Like, its hard to think back to that now, but she WAS one of the best cast members that they had had in years during her first like 3 seasons. Every single thing she did was hilarious. Problem was, as is SNL's frequent problem, they used her in everything and completely wore her out. After maybe 4 seasons she just plain wasn't funny anymore and annoying as @#$%&. But it shouldn't be forgotten how incredible she was during her initial years there.Quote

Well, I suppose so, but it seems extremely extremist to do so.

Oh, I think I get it...it's like if someone called these serious of posts very annoying.
They needn't include the word 'very' because that might be considered superfluous.

It seems lately that you're deeming any post questionable. No offense, but shouldn't this be a forum of fun and mutual respect? I agree sometimes discusions veer away from the purpose of this website, however, that doesn't necessarily mean that it is wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I could easily say you're being a grammar coach just as you accused me of being "Political." You can't have it both ways - Life is a doubled edged sword.
Very Respectfully - Chris

No problem Chris...if you look at the posts above though, you may notice that I was being corrected for grammar, not the other way around.
I was just having fun with that.

If any one might think I was being serious here, one would be extremely incorrect, I was extremely kidding, come on.

As was I Max!
Chris kind of went political in the Toronto mayor thread so I brought that to his attention. I'd thought we were past that but me thinks perhaps not!
