Whose album will you play first, on this release date

The Beatles, Stones and Who all have releases today in Europe. After some thought I felt The Beatles should be first as they're always on top (debatable I know). Anyway you look at it (no pun intended) it's great to have so many things on the same day. For me it was a return to the 70's in a record store. Wish I could have more of that! Have fun everyonesmiling smiley

Did I miss something, or are you talking hypothetical here? smiling smiley

I'll go for the Stones album any day.

Is this hypothetical? If not, we are missing out on something in the States.

Nothing hypothetical going on here, thankfully. To elaborate a little more it was great seeing all the other newest releases by Jimi and Deep Purple, though I got them already. How many times do we get to see that much Rock and Roll these days. Guess that's my point. I'm saving The Stones for later tonight after work when I can drink a great bottle of Belgian beer to mark the occasion. Though I'm a Beatles fan first, my passion for The Stones is probably greater these days.winking smiley

The releases are Beatles at BBC Volume II, Stones Hyde Park, The Who Tommy deluxe boxset. Think it's the same next week in The States?

Pre ordered The Stones.
I'll get The Beatles sometimes soon (still having the 'new' McCartney on heavy rotation...man, that album is good!).
Not interested in the 5687th edition of Tommy.
(And I'm not a huge Tommy fan anyway)

The first Beatles BBC didn't excite me, so not interested in the second. Think the Stones could have found a dozen more interesting live shows from this tour, so not interested in that, either. Won't get it, but love the original Tommy, so that wins with me.

We've already heard Sweet Summer Sun when it was released a few months ago for a "limited time" under a different name. The very same reason I decided not to purchase the physical release. So even if I had all three (The Beatles is the only one I'm buying) I'd be listening to the BBC Sessions first.

I buy albums mostly every day and threw them in a darker Place for future listening...I play 'Astral Weeks' and Neil Youngs 'Greendale' almost every week of the year...superior albums...just like 'Out of our Heads' and such...smoking smiley

I'll be getting all three. I'll start with the Stones Hyde Park, then on to the Beatles, then the Who.

The Stones one gets the nod because it's a new release. The Beatles go second because it's an archive that I haven't heard. As for Tommy, I've already got the previous deluxe SACD 5.1 surround edition and all three officially released live versions of it (Leeds, Hull and Isle of Wight). So the main appeal of the super deluxe edition is the spiffy book.
