All Stones songs with vibes, xylophone, marimba...

hi - in another thread the use of vibraphone on Monkey Man was discussed, and got me thinking about all
the various songs the Stones used vibes, xylophone, marimba, and any other similar instruments.

What are they? These I'm just listing quickly and randomly, not methodically, or completely, as I run
out the door.

Under My Thumb
Out of Time
Yesterday's Papers
Monkey Man

tomcasagranda, thanks - Street Fighting Man was on my initial list, but I removed it after listening earlier -- only hear sitar or tamboura, and piano.

Yes, sitar and tamboura, but the sitar is in the Philips tape machine recording, a distorted twanging within that recordings sound. smiling smiley

Nicky's piano is very ace on SFM!

Not a marimba, but a glockenspiel or some such instrument with a similar sound.

Thanks! Always thought it was a marimba. One question: does Brian play that beautiful accordion in Backstreet girl?

No - but I still wonder who first said - "what we need on this track is an accordion" - and I'd love to have seen the expressions on everyone else's face.

It sounds like a vibraphone(or something similar) played higher up it's register with echo/reverb, hence the airy sound after the initial percussive strike to each note.

Played like this(slower of course), but with a bit more sustain and gentle touch:

As it is quite a melodic part, I'd assume it's more likely to be Brian or someone else rather than Charlie.
