has there been a thread for and about Ms Rose?

i'm reading 'Life', with difficulty, for several reasons, but in the book its clear that Jane Rose deserves credit for Keith getting off heroin.

and the fact that she wants no attention but only to make sure Keith is healthy and keeping professional commitments, she has shown great empathy and loyalty

maybe some on the board here know her..? she is a treasure for Keith, and consequently for the band.

Strongly suspect that Jane Rose is JumpingJackOLantern.

She is a treasure indeed. I met her in 1978 in NYC and we remain friends. Jane first worked for Jagger but he fired her!! It all worked out well for Keith so I suppose Jagger did Keith a big favour.

Didn't she work for The Stones originally and got fired after an err..."unprofessional encounter" with Mick after which Mick decided she wasn't needed anymore ? Keith just rehired her to work for him. I think I read that here...She doesn't come across as a very "nice" person in Bill German's book, mostly treating him like crap and making it clear that she's only talking to him because Keith told her too.

She was at the Trabendo taking pics of the audience before the show and again at HP1 (I missed her as I was on my 30 minutes loo run) but I didn't see her at HP2.

never met her, have no opinion about her. in defense of people who are assistants to stars, however, i would say that it's primarily their job to say no to everyone who isn't the star, so they are usually not well liked, and it's often not their fault.
on the other hand, someone who loves a job where they get to tell everyone no is arguably someone predisposed to not being the sweetest person on earth...

A kind and loving lady.

I've often wondered if she has been influential in the ant--Mick rhetoric that comes from Keith's camp. It is clear she has a particular axe to grind in that direction (with or without justification) and the timing of her becoming effectively Keith's gatekeeper in a way none of the other principals have seems significant.

I guess they have to be quite tough characters, very nice persongs wouldn't handle the job, I think sometimes they have to be tough even to the star who they are working for!
