you seem to forget that keith has been operating a human chemical laboratory for decades.
the discoveries he has made are incredible, once he clues modern medicine in on his discoveries we might all have 50 more years of 'start me up', 'brown sugar' and 'jumping jack flash' to look forward to.

And if AEG was involved, theater tickets would only cost 35k$!!!

Probably not if it's on Chuck's level...actually I was wondering when Chuck had completely lost it on stage, how was he playing when he was Keith's age, i.e. in 1997? Guess I'll go looking on YouTube. I seem to remember reports saying he'd played ok at the Zenith in Paris in 2008 so that would have made him 82.
Aznavour was on stage with Johnny Halliday for his 70th birthday show on Saturday and I caught it on TV. He was a bit shaky but his singing was ok.
Honestly after hearing another "shambolic" Gimme Shelter guitar intro on the PHILLY/1 boot I think Keith's really at his limit at this point for that type of material/playing. He can probably strum his guitar on stage until he croaks (can't be worse than John Lee Hooker) but he'll need some help with the lead parts...guess they could bring in Taylor full time?
And maybe in this condition ? .....

I would love to see the Stones just sitting around a fireplace with their acoustic guitars jamming up a storm when they are in their 80's.

you have to respect the stones for not pulling the "farewell concert" card and then touring again a couple of years later, etc.
i saw the pixies on what was supposed to be their last show ever. it was a great show. however it was a little weird to see them go back on tour shortly thereafter. it is certainly everyone's perogative to change their minds but in the stones case i think it would be taken as callous manipulation of people in order to sell tickets.
i think as long as they aren't absolutely sure it's their last tour, they are wise to talk about how they plan on continuing.
