Talking about the Keith interview in men's Journal or something; Keith says if he had a terminal illness he'd take his family down to jamaica or Parrot Cay where he has property including a beach that is "so shallow even an idiot couln't drown."

Andrew said "Why doesn't he bring Ronnie there and test the theory."

What's up with that?

(by the way, guy has a great radio show).

He obviously thinks Ronnie is an idiot.

Why wouldn't you think he is an idiot ? He is a follower . A hanger on to certain degree . He has talent but most of it is wasted . He damn near killed himself trying to keep up with Keith. One would have to assume that yes they would have, since The Yardbirds made it under Giorgio Gomelski--though their first two singles would have been different, as Giorgio wouldn't have picked Come On and he wouldn't have lured in Lennon & McCartney in to write I Wanna Be Your Man, but yes, they still would have made it.

Do the RS have any contact with ALO? He could have been included in some of the 50th anniversary things. He was certainly instrumental to their success, but chances are they would have made it anyway, as one of the best of the British Invasion.

To slate Ronnie now is ridiculous. He's apparently sober, scandal-free, and making an entirely worthwhile contribution to the current tour. And given that he parked his ego at the door and has been one of Mick Taylor's biggest supporters, I am very glad he's around.

I wonder what else Andrew has said about this revealing Richards' interview.

The Stones and their associates say things about each other that would be hanging matters and capital crimes if said by outsiders - but are not to be taken seriously.

ALO is, as DandelionPowderman says, joking. I guess 'idiot' must be more offensive in some parts of the world, for this thread to have turned into such a contest to see who can bash ALO/Ronnie the hardest.
