Listen again to talk is cheap after many years..

..and it's still a solid rocking album!!

Make no mistake about it
Things ain't what they seem
I'm gonna scream and shout it
This is just a dream

A simple conversation
Every now and then
A touchy situation
Fascinates a man

What shall I do, if I should see you
And have to pretend that we have never met

Its not a cheap sensation

PLAY IT LOUD!

Talk Is Cheap and Winos Are X Pensive-Great Vinyl Album with so many great Additional Musicians such as Bootsy on the opener " Big Enough" and Mick Taylor on
" I Could Have Stood You Up". Have seen a cool show at the time in Rotterdam.

One fine feature in that album is that it hasn't dated one bit soundwise, unlike so many other albums from that time. It sounded extremily earthy and muddy at the time, so archaic, and it still does. I think that production idea alone was one helluva musical statement from Keith's side.

I agree.
I love the album, fantastic. It's much better than Undercover, Steel Wheelchairs, Dirty Work or anything the Stones did during the eighties. Fantastic album

Authentic Stones flavor and no annoying after taste...

Best Stones album in the last 25 years, by far. If The Beatles had reunited and toured, say in the '80's, do you think they would have completely ignored their solo work and just played Beatles songs? I do not know, just asking, but I doubt it. When much of the show feels stale I wonder why the Stones' imagination does not include performances of some of their solo work. I know that is forbidden, but why not? Have some fun with it. IMO even Woody can contribute.

It's the best solo work by a member of the Stones.

A piece of beauty.

A collection of 11 outstanding songs and grooves. Must have spent ages playing Move Me. That one with Locked away, Big Enough, Stood you Up, and Rockawhile, are one step ahead of the others.

And that's the basic difference between Mick and Keith. Mick forever wants to be at the forefront of sound technology, hiring the latest 'in' producer to hone his or the band's sound so it is right for today's audience.

Meanwhile Keith is the true believer in the power of rock'n'roll and how if you have a good enough song it doesn't need much else other than great players to send it on its way.
