If the Rolling Stones after this Tour Announce : its over--how do you feel?
Posted by: Havo ()

This day will come in the near future. We ALL know this! They were a part of my life since 1964. First time I saw them was in berlin sept. 1965. Last time in hannover 2006.

I would hear all their vinyl-Albums from Rolling stones-til-GRRR

Unbelievably fortunate. Now Keith can put out a damn solo album with help from his friends!!

They will never do that. It's not their style.

All things must pass. We'll always have the music, and hopefully more unreleased live & studio stuff will see the light of day. 50+ years - wow, what a ride. I do feel that Mick will continue performing into advanced old age, with or without the group.

Well I hope they all stay as active as they've been the last year. Still contributing solo and together.

I don't think it will end like that...this tour will end and there will be no official statement to say that's the end. THey will all drift back to what they do. If Keith's health stays in a good enough shape, then I would expect them to get together within acouple of years for some kind of show or mini, mini tour. THis will continue until a death. Even then I wouldn't be surprised if they played again as long as it wasn't Jagger who pegged it. I feel that they have already considered life without Keith...maybe Taylor and Wood...maybe an outsider. I just don;t see them saying , 'that's the end of the Rolling Stones until Mr Jagger is incapable of doing a show.

Yeah, I think it will only be truly over when we read a very sad headline informing us that Mick, Keith or Charlie have died.

Mick made things clear last year after the fall shows....they won't stop.

They have said this all along.

Muchin - Good one! Let's Work is the worst song that is connected to the Stones. Embarrasing!

Nonsense, "Charmed Life" is far worse than "Let's Work."

Honestly, I don't think the Stones will retire, it will simply be over one day and you won't know until after the fact.

Do you know, I SWEAR I read this thread before, with all those exact same posts in it, last autumn. I even checked the date to be sure it wasn't the same one.

IMO, They never will announce officially that it's over.
The Stones are like a river that gently stops to flow little by little

i think we have kind of a win/win situation, the stones are still together but we get the full benefit of bill wyman's solo career as well.

I could easily see Mick upholding the Stones legacy by touring with Waddy, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Ronnie, Darryl Jones, Chuck Leavell and some others. And producing a good Stones sound and atmosphere. Any of the guitar guys could play bass so you can leave out Darryl if you want to save money. First tour destination would be Japan same as last time. Then on to New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and Brazil. After this test and warmup they head to Europe and America.

The ones who would not be able to make it would be Keith and Charlie. Charlie's health is good but playing drums is the most physically demanding job up on stage. But if they are paid a few million for allowing Mick to tour under the name "Rollling Stones" they will be OK with that. Money changes everything.

After reading this I'm absolutely certain you are completely unclear about what the Stones 'legacy' is or should be...

Then I would say Thank You Very Much Guys for the great 50 years of joy.................I wouldn't be sad...(maybe sad for the youngsters who just started to be a fan and want to see them live for the first time)

I don't think they will do a tour when they reach their 75's but you'll never know with the Stones grinning smiley but announced after this tour to stop no way........

Not sure what you mean"it's over," I assume you mean that the touring is over.

The Stones will never make such an announcement. There's absolutely no reason to.

The Stones as an entity are a coninuing business, releasing stuff from the archives, etc. Why would they announce anything is "over," why would they announce they are not going to tour? What possible reason would they do that?

Personally I doubt they will play together after these shows. But they will never make such an announcement.
