It's not what it used to be.

There's a John Varvatos/Morrison Hotel gallery at the old CBGB's space. That's worth a look. The Bowery Electric is a fairly decent bar/rock club - that's a few doors away.

I think there's a Whole Foods down there now, too.

Like I said... it's not what it used to be.

The Bowery Ballroom on Delancey, however, is a great place to see a band.

stayed at bowery hotel for 5 days. saw, central park, twin towers, times square, madison sq garden broadway up and down, Loved new york, the people were nice and friendly.
