Exile rough mixes played on LA radio

In Keith's book, he says that while Exile was being mixed at Sunset Sound, they used to take rough mixes to the radio station and have them played over the air so they could hear how they sounded on the radio. Is there proof of this? Anecdotal evidence anyone?

I think this was true.
I remember in the 70's Jagger sayin in the fanclub they played some tracks over the radio to decide for a single. ADTL was favourite first. And they've done this more than once . .

I'm not sure about the entire LP but its not total bs. Mick has also stated they sent an acetate of "All Down The Line" (and possibly "Happy" since it was to be the flip side?) to be played on a local LA station so Mick could hear it riding around in the car. That story has been verified in numerous accounts I've heard and read. sorry.cousinC..guess I was typing while you were! but I agree with you..

Indeed rough mixes of ADTL and Happy where played on a radio station, and at least ADTL is available on various bootlegs.
