This could be as good as his work with the Blind Boys of Alabama.

I'm so exited for this album, it will be great! I had posted something on this a month or two ago but nobody seemed to care, not many fans around here?

I'm a big fan of Ben Harper, all his albums are great and some are exceptional.

I remember I saw him a long, long time ago when he played in a small club in the Netherlands, and nobody knew him then. We actually went for the other artist who played (Jimmy Lafaye), but Ben came on first with his band. I was completely blown away. His guitar style and voice made (and still make) a deep impression on me, he moves me with his soft songs, and astonishes me with his loud songs.

He's too well known now, but I wish I could see him again in that small club.

had a listen the other day...not bad. not overly familiar with harper. huge charlie fan...think it's a bit mis-leading to give him co- billing with harper...he's not involved enough for that.

I'v had this record for about ten days and I can't stand it. Musselwhite's harp parts are obviously (and clumsily) dropped in after-the-fact. Sometimes it sounds like they are playing in different keys and time signatures. Harper's faux-roots style is intentionally clumsy and grungy while Musselwhite sounds like he did the best he could, playing cleanly through an amp to a live microphone. The blues, especially the blues performed in this manner, requires simpatico between all the players. Musselwhite doesn't have it with the Harper he records he apparently played along with.

Don't be fooled, this record is awful.

Musselwhite is great but yes, the record might get boring after a while. It's a shame, because as a project it sounded promising.
