Time Waits for No One - Piano

I love this track.

Everything about it is superb, MT guitar, MJ lyrics and vocal... I'ver overdosed on the whole album in the last few weeks, I've had TWFNO running through my head for days... (I don't need a CD player anymore)...

..the piano underneath it all and particularly at the end is simply stunning.

God bless ya Nicky Hopkins.

Now that IS a tasteful piano player.

Time Waits for No One-One of my favorite from the Album IORR
Hopkins did play on so many Great RS songs and as well with so many other Bands
The last vinyl I bought in december 2012 in Berlin was Quicksilver -Shady Grove 1969. Great insert cover with black/white photo's with Nicky behind the piano

Cheers

Saw an article yesterday that new vinyl sales grew 22% last year to something like 5 million. TWFNO sounds great on my 30+ year old copy.

BTW....the top selling vinyl of 2012 in the uSA? Jack White's Blunderbuss at 36,000 copies. Second was something old...Abbey Road.

Luxury is their best stab at West India music.

The whole album is great.

I always have to say something about Nicky's Piano playing on that song... as if MT's Guitar notes aren't enough, you have Hopkins' complimenting MT's notes perfectly... yin~yang at it's ZENITH... need to play the song now!

There are a few isolated tracks for Nicky playing with the Stones.
You always hear him playing these great melodies underneath the song.
Winter is another one. Listen closely to what he's doing - it's heaven.

TWFNO is a wonderful piece of music and a bit of a hidden gem. Mick Taylors finest moment on record, for me anyway.

What a drag it is gettin' old

Even the edit version on Sucking In The Seventies is outstanding.
