Pure speculation from the writer of this article.

The Rolling Stones - Rolling Stones?

And they've hinted twice in one article? Amazing.

Mick said 'we'll see you soon...' and that's a hint? SPECIFICALLY a hint at playing this award show?

He's on record - litereally - of saying "We'll see you next year" on Still Life - and it is a fact that "they" did not see "you" next year because the Stones didn't tour the States in 1982.

And if they do indeed play this award show who wants to be they don't play either of the new tunes but play something like JJF etc?

It's reasonable to assume they [Jagger especially] would want to make the most of this opportunity--that is, free promotion. With a nomination, they've got a reason to attend, and they are certainly familiar and comfortable with the venue. The equivalent of the U.S. Grammys, the BRIT awards would be an excellent chance to promote their live act to a mainstreeam audience, if for nothing else just to say 'Hey, look, we've still got it, and don't you want to see us in concert this year?' They could reach a wide audience with this message and with little effort--probably just a song or two. It could be as dynamic and could make as much of an impression on UK TV viewers as Jagger's 2011 appearance did for U.S. viewers of the Grammys.

Yeah makes sense...

As for contact music, didn't these clowns say that Charlie had announced the Stones were breaking up a couple of years ago?

It was either the clowns at Contact or some other clowns who put their own spin on Charlie's thoughts on whether he was leaving The Stones. Because the band was not active at the time, he said something to the effect of "Why announce anything? There's nothing to leave." This was when the press was playing up the rumor that Charlie was tired of touring. So, at one point, The Stones organization had to officially retract all the hoopla generated by the clowns at the tabloids.

And, according to this 2009 article by Contact, the source of the rumor was Australian website Undercover.com.

The only source so far that seems to think they are confirmed is the Telegraph, quoted in this thread:

Is the Telegraph considered reliable?

This Forum gives us the chance to check the reliability of some of the sources.
The RS are nominated for Brit award as best live act so They maybe playing there?
I think its a challenge to be there around new Brits Pop Bands/Musicians of a younger generation, to show them that the RS are still essential no matter the age.
