...P.S.: is that "Show Me" as in "Show Me" by Ron Wood, as it has been released on "Slide on this" (late '90s)?!

1 show did they a bunch of early neil young tunes that sounded great. imo they should pick a bunch of covers and songs they rarely play and release a 2-3 cd live set next year

more than likely it is but if you look its a cover tune not a wood original. johnny winter did it prior to wood and some others prior to that

They've going on indefinite hiatus

for those who are waiting to see the Crowes soon, I just would like to inform you ,but I am sure everybody know, that this was their farewell tour (unless they will change their mind).
Terrible news for me too, 'cause i believe they are NOW the best r'n'r' live act in the world. I am looking for listen to their New York Nokia Theater and San Francisco gigs, I can' wait..

...If you continue shouting like that, Im sure he'll listen.

But maybe you should dig into some comments on this board over the years, concerning setlists: it's Jagger (he has to sing them damn' songs) & Leavell (apparently he's the only one on board that keeps track of what was played on previous nights in that specific city a.o.) that compile them.

Who is the musical director of this band?

Now go up to the board and write "I used to do what Keith says" 999 times.

Ok, I know there are fans and non fans. And folks, I am a fan. So I admit I can be a bit myopic when it comes to the Crowes. But if you had witnessed the show I saw last night at the Fillmore, even if you were not a fan, you would have to admit their incredible virtuosity and ability to play as a tight live onslaught. I saw them two nights in a row and saw two totally different shows. The first night was a work out of great acid rock, with a very tripy Frisco vibe. And they gifted us all with several songs from Lions, a great and often overlooked disc. Wonderful. The two set lists had only ONE song in common and that one song Soul Singing, was done acoustic on Sat and full electric last night, which means essentially each show was completely different. Last night they were more the gritty decayed rock band with alt country fringes. A majestic version of No Expectations, with Luther playing beautiful peddle slide...soaring, weaving in and out of Rich and Chris's acoustics. A longer version, that pulled on the heart. Then they end their electric set with the first time performance for them of Midnight Rambler!!! INCREDIBLE. They bowed to the alter of Ya Yas, and played that version with passion and grit. So they break for the encore, and then come out to a bellowing crowd and they ease into Torn and Frayed!! This can't be happening, the boys are ending their tour, and possibly the band, paying homage to The Stones. It couldn't get any more intense, right? WELL IT DID! When they ripped into the opening power slabs of CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCK'IN!!!! I was stunned and felt as if I was on an episode of Fringe... And after a gloriously long voodoo workout they go to their last encore of Last Time. Luther's crunching rhythms and the plaintive and sardonic question in everyone's mind..."This may be the last time, this may be the last time, may be the last time, I don't know..." Oh no!

..the responsible version would be Keith saying "f uck it. We gotta play something different"....instead of deferring/ blaming Jagger and Chuck.

...Yeah, right... like WE would be able to sort thàt out with 'The Missus'...

But still: somebody should do something, that's right. And if it ain't Keith, who else is it gonna be?!...

B. Crowes is a great band.
Their only problem,- not having enough real good songs of their own. So doing these classics is a good and clever way for them.

I'd loved to hear them doing Rambler and Can't you hear me knockin.
They play that stuff like I wished the Stones would still do it!

Their only problem,- not having enough real good songs of their own.

Shake Your Moneymaker?
Southern Harmony & Musical Companion?
Amorica?
Three Snakes & One Charm?
Before the Frost...Untill The Freeze?

Enough good songs of their own, I'd say! The covers are the icing on the cake!

Anyhow, you said you'd like to hear them play Can't You Hear Me Knocking. Here you go!
