Nah, just a dreamer, however, the good news for Stones fans is that 95% of my dreams (relating to them) have come true. No Brag, Just Fact.

It's called, "speaking to the mountain". Stonesnow understands. Maybe he can explain it to you?

Well, maybe more like 88% when you consider all the insignificant wishes.

For here in this thread, I doth proclaimeth what I doth understandeth:

"And so did Poster beget watchman, and watchman begat stonescrow, and stonescrow begat MightStonesStillRollin50, and MightyStonesStillRollin50 begat DoomNGloom...."

And the B V said unto Poster, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the board." And the sons of watchman were stonescrow, MightyStonesStillRollin50, and DoomNGloom, and unto them were sons born after the ban.

Actually...

-Bill's first gig with the band as "The Rollin' Stones": Dec 14, 1962.

-The first time Mick, Keith, Brian, Bill, Charlie, and Stu played together as "The Rolling Stones": Jan 12, 1963.

Splitting hairs, I know.

An anniversary date for sure, so your point still stands.

'According To The Rolling Stones' says that Bill auditioned for the band on December 7, and played his first gig eight days later. Also, they list Charlie's first gig with the band as taking place on January 14. From what source are you getting your dates?

621214A 14th December: Windsor, Ricky Tick Club, Star And Garter Pub
Note: First gig with BW on bass.

630112A 12th January: London, Ealing Jazz Club -
Note: First gig with BW and CW.

- nzentgraf.de

A better source than a half remembered 'official' biography.

There were also several shows between those two dates where the band used a different bass player or had no bass player at all.

Thanks. Be nice when they publish books to get the correct dates. The January 12 date was exactly seven years to the day prior to (Namath's) Super Bowl III.

Well, We'll get Mick Taylor on for MR tonight - and I couldn't be Happier!
But having Bill Wyman appear for the "Grand Finale" on PPV would sure
be "icing on the Anniversary cake" - We'll have to wait and see...
