I presume you are kidding, but here's my theory in a nutshell:

The RS once were rebellions, at least they pretended to be. I take it that BV understands some of their fans identify themselves with this kind of attitude.

Unfortunately the Stones grew old gracefully, the fire has gone for 35 years already, this red carpet nonsense, "Sir" Mick, "the boys", well respected posters etc.. So some bashing should be allowed every now and then.
