Should the Stones donate profit to charity

Do you think the Stones should donate 20% of their income from touring to charity like the Red Hot Chili peppers do?

I think this should be a personal decision that doesn't need to be publicized unless the individuals involved want it to be.

Your question, in terms of "should", implies a sense of obligation, whereas being charitable arises from the nature of benevolence. So in answer to your question, no, they should not, but they may only give if they feel like it.

I think they should feel like it, or something.

Perhaps if they just "give a shit", it might make all the difference....

It's a private matter that's really no one's business.

"Should" Al Pacino donate 20% of his income from his Broadway gig playing the same week?

It's absurd and invasive to speculate and suggest what an entertainer(or anyone else) should do with his/her income.

The problem with charity is that the bureaucracy of the institution itself ends up with most of the donations.

I agree, but I disagree that should be the excuse not to give. You need to find a reputable organization and they're out there.

What a ridiculous question! It's their own private matter; why broadcast it to the media/us/anyone.

That's a thorough, well-put non-generalization if I've ever read one.
