Mixed Emotions remix on Grrr?

My first listen to Grrr and it sounds like Mixed Emotions has been remixed. I didn`t read anything about this anywhere, but the guitars sound way more up front to me. Yes? No? Any info would be greatly appreciated. This is the only track I`ve notcied a difference so far.

"Well my heavy throbbers itchin' just to lay a solid rhythm down"

It's the single version (edited album version) that was already on Forty Licks.
Guitars sound more upfront because they used the 2009 remasters as source which have everything upfront...

By the way the best sounding version is still the one on the original CBS CD from 1989...

it would be beyond the realm of comprehension for a new remix of Mixed Emotions to have appeared in 2012. Mind you, it is the 23rd anniversary of the song.

I never liked Steel Wheels on vinyl becuse it was too compresssed.
[too long to fit on one LP with any real dynamics ]

On CD it sounds great though. Maybe because it was digitally recorded.

Never heard this mix before and it really helps the song. Made me actually like the song which is cool because I never dug it before. Intro sounds great.

Kowalski stated it as well. He did point out that this compilation uses the 2009 brickwallers...
