Scenario 2013:
The Rolling Stones play at
Granåsen ski jump arena, Drontheim, Norway.
Well, they`ll probably all be there,
all the local heros, the definers of “cool”
form the 70s and 80s.
Trouble is, they don`t mean anything
to young people today.
Those people played in bands,
started restaurants,
and got all the women.
All the natives knew their names.
In short; they MEANT something
in their town and at a certain time.
Some of them still have their long hair,
although it might have turned grey.
They show up at events like the showing of
“Ladies & Gentlemen”, “Celebration Day”
or “Crossfire Hurricane”,
but they don`t make up the street scene,
or are out on the town at night nowadays.
They probably sit at home
in their terraced houses
and in their favourite chair
watching TV or the internet.
Their names might be Dag Ingebrigtsen or
Casino Steel; a guy who, btw,
used to look like a blueprint of
Keith Richards during the 70s.
