Bobby Keys and the Suffering Bastards
Date: July 29, 2012 20:50

I'll be visiting New York City in three weeks and got tickets for Bobby Keys and the Suffering Bastards at the Highline Ballroom on August 23rd. Anybody seen them live yet, is it worth going? I mean, it's Bobby Keys, so it should be worth....

Gonna try to catch him Oct. 18 at The Magic Bag in Detroit. Seems like more of a "Stones" show than you get from some of the actual Rolling Stones.

Bobby's heading out to sea on a Rock Legends Cruise. Note the date. Isn't that right around the same time we were told the Rolling Stones would be celebrating their true 50th anniversary?

I just checked the cruise dates, they will only be at sea from Jan. 10 to Jan 14. Not so long that Bobby can't make a Stones tour, if it ever happens. You're making me sad, Tatters. sad smiley

Maybe that's where the Stones will mark the actual 50th...on the cruise.

Wasn't January 14, 1963 the actual date Charlie joined the Stones? Doesn't look like there will be any Stones activity on that 50th anniversary either.

Maybe they'll all gather in New York to premiere a new series of etchings to commemorate the 50th with Charlie. Between the Buttons indeed!
