Arise Black Man - The Peter Tosh Story.
Posted by: belld ()
Date: November 26, 2010 17:23

THis was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday 23rd November 2010. 13.30.
A fascinating account of his life, his crucial role in the Wailers and the parting of the ways with Bob as a result of his desire for a more political direction. Also covers Mick and Keith signing Peter for RS Records after hearing him at the One Love Peace Concert , his tour supporting the Stones and their very acrimonious fall-out.
Such a tragic violent early death. Sad.
It can be accessed via the BBC Radio iplayer until Monday.

Hope this plays in the states at some point. The "Behind the Music" VH1 special on him was very interesting. One of the best of those shows. Unfortunately all we get repeated from Behind the Music now days is pop/rap acts.
