Yep - and I'm not quite sure what they mean, either.

I have never understood the fascination about whether/when the Beatles would be on iTunes. It's not like it's new music or anything. Want Beatles on your iPod? Buy the cd's and upload them. What's the big deal?

The Beatles made great music in the 6-tees, why not on I-tunes?
They had a bigger influence on contemporary pop-music then the Stones,
musically spoken.
The Stones are not like new music either.
Buy their cd's and upload them.Or use them as frisbee.
The Ron Wood version flies best.

I wonder whether Neil Aspinall would have liked this.

I loved clicking on my Safari icon this morning and the Apple home page came up, and its default image was the Beatles staring at me. I hope they keep that image there for awhile yet.

The are trying to say....... The Band that change everything since 1964, came to America. And now they are on iTunes. Looks like they didn't do much in between

And I don't know what "came to America" is doing there, they also came to Holland which more worth mentioning Holland is so little that you only can land by parachute and then you have to be carefully not to land in Germany or Belgium.

Speaking of Stupidity................. cool smiley

It's from a typically US-centric perspective. It wasn't as if the Beatles hadn't already scored three British no.1's already by the time they visited the States, is it? Not to mention the hits they'd clocked up around Europe, as well. America was a huge deal to the Beatles and every other British act, but to suggest that it really matters to the rest of the world is baffling. It's the kind of tripe Rollingstones.com would churn out.

The only thing that looks interesting about this is the Washington Coliseum Concert from Feb 1964. However it looks like you can only get this if you buy the whole set, which sucks. I wish I could get the concert on its own.

For me the Beatles just about eclipse the Stones. At least there will be some decent tracks in the charts.

Big parts of the Washington concert are in Anthology. Really great. They were "in the round" and had to turn their own equipment around after every song to face a different direction. But they smoked.

And to stay on Topic.

I bought all there albums and there CD's, so I download any thing I can find.

By the way, on iTunes you have to pay 1.29 $ for "His Majestic" only 23 sec. long

You can just watch it on iTunes. Great to see how they come up, and then need 5 minutes to adjust their amps, turn the drumkit, etc. With all the girls screaming.

Yeah, for me the only digital way to have them is the USB Apple. It is fantastic, the entire collection in stereo at 24bit. Sounds better than the CD's. They are FLAC files and you can covert to AIFF files, at 2116 Kpbs. All the art work and videos are on the USB as well. It is heavy and very well made...forget iTunes! And even when I am lazy and want digital mp3s, I find the sound quality on Amazon is better than a lot of the iTunes music.

I just don't understand anyone who would rather download music than actually own the CD or vinyl. Creating a market for downloading musical signals must rank as the biggest capitalist rip off since wearing brand names on clothing became popular in the 80s. Absolutely mind-boggling.
