2000 light years from home crops up in the soundtrack for men in black 3.There is also a great joke about Mick Jagger! The year is 1969 and agent K has been assigned to follow Mick,as he is thought to be an alien, sent to earth to breed with earth women.

Yeah... there was all those rumours in 69 about Mick being killed in a car crash and a body double replaced him.

Big clue was on Let it Bleed album cover where there were 26 cherries on the smashed cake.

"26 if" it hadn't been smashed.

Maybe it was an alien that replaced him.

Hearing "2000" was a total pleasant surprise (though very timely in the context of the movie). Kudos to the producers for digging up that somewhat obscure, but utterly fantastic, chestnut! Brought a big smile to my face

When I hear "2000 Light Years From Home" I see Jane Fonda.

I just do.

It's weird.

Gimme Shelter is in the upcoming movie Flight, starring: Denzel Washington, Kelly Reilly, Don Cheadle, Bruce Greenwood,

Release Date: November 2, 2012

The drama sees Denzel Washington as an airline pilot who successfully lands a crashing plane, only to have his alcholism come back to haunt him. It certainly looks like the type of dramatic work that could lead to some awards. I’m mostly intrigued at where the story goes, with the structure of the plane crash happening early on in the film. With a great ensemble including John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Melissa Leo, James Badge Dale, Brian Geraghty and Bruce Greenwood, one can see the trailer, featuring The Rolling Stones’ Gimme Shelter
